Pokupharma is a Limited liability company in the distribution of generic pharmaceutical products in Ghana since 1998.
After a decade of gradual success in distribution, Pokupharma started in 2011 the manufacturing and the branding of generic out of its state of the art manufacturing facility that covers over 100000sqft.
Pokupharma owns 30 Mercedes Benz trucks with a load capacity of 5 tons each for the logistics operation covering more than 4 millions km average a year to deliver to more than 2000 customers across Ghana who are for most part, wholesalers, pharmacy shops and chemical sellers.
Pokupharma is fully committed for saving lives and better the quality of life by making and distributing high quality and affordable drugs in Africa to fight against the vicious cycle of poverty and disease.

SIZE AND MARKET POSITION OF POKUPHARMA
Information on the size of the pharmaceutical market in Ghana is scarce, except the occasional surveys conducted by the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association of Ghana (PMAG). The total market of the industry was estimated to be araound US$25 million back in 2005 at the retail price level with an annual growth rate of 7%.
Using the national board for small scale industries definitions Pokupharma is considered as large enterprise of 160 employees with 17% of market share.
Although there have been numerous success stories of people after taking our products, we removed all the testimonials in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Food and Drug Administration on medical claims.
