INDICATIONS
Arthemeter is indicated for the treatment of severe and complicated malaria caused by P.falcipuram both in adults and children in areas where there is multi-drug resistance. Treatment of uncomplicated malaria in situations where there is widespread prevalence of multi-drug resistant P.falcipuram infection.
WARNING
Do not exceed the prescribed dose. In case of over dosage, urgent symptomatic treatment in a specialized unit is required. Caution is required in patients with cardiovascular disease. Hepatic impairment and renal insufficiency.
DOSAGE AND USE
In Children,
- 3.2mg/kg /day on 1 day
- 1.6mg/kg/day of the 2nd to 5th day.
In Adults,
- 160mg/day on day 1
- 80mg from 2nd to 5th day.
